Marley’s California Caramels are inspired by the beauty, the bounty, and the diversity of the Golden State. We’ve elevated the traditional chocolate-covered caramel to a new level of deliciousness, using only the best ingredients and unique flavors inspired by the things we love. 

Our handcrafted gourmet caramels are made with organic sugar and butter, vanilla beans from Madagascar, and organic cream. But that’s just the beginning – each variety is infused with special ingredients to create a truly unique flavor profile. To finish the caramels, they get hand-dipped in rich, dark chocolate for that extra “yum”!

California Gold Confections

This collaboration box was created for our friends at Field+Fort. We packed a lot of local flavor into this beautifully designed box. It’s everything we love about living in the Golden State; oranges from Ojai, almonds from the Central Valley, pistachios from Santa Barbara, local Whiskey and Amaro liquor.

Turmeric & Coriander Caramel

People from around the world have made their home under the big, bright California sun and brought their food traditions along. Turmeric, common in many Asian foods and full of health benefits, colors this caramel an extraordinarily bright yellow. To this, we’ve added the lemony-citrus flavor of Middle Eastern coriander seeds for a delicious, multi-cultural experience. Each caramel is like a chocolate-covered dose of Californian sunshine.

Roasted Almond Caramel

This one is an instant classic. Almonds from California’s Central Valley are lightly roasted and caramelized for extra crunch before they are folded into our golden caramel and eventually hand-dipped in dark chocolate. Nutty, chewy, rich – just like California. ;-)

Caffe Latte Caramel

Call it a Latte, café con leche, Milchkaffee, or café au lait – coffee and milk are a great combination and make for the perfect comfort beverage – morning, afternoon, or night. We infuse the cream for this caramel with locally roasted coffee to achieve that luscious creamy latte flavor everyone craves.

Whiskey'd Up Caramel

After sunset, we often sit on our deck with good friends, reflect on the day and enjoy a favorite drink. This mood is what this caramel is all about. The not-so-secret, secret ingredient is locally crafted Stagecoach Whiskey. This true American whiskey adds smooth notes of vanilla and spice to our golden caramel and will help melt any worries away.

Mexican Chocolate Caramel

We love the flavors of Mexico – and are eternally grateful to its native population for sharing the cocoa bean with the world. This caramel is our thank you. Flavored with cinnamon and ancho chili powder, a bite into this caramel will take you on a slightly spicy, slightly smoky journey back in time to the Olmecs, Mayans, and Aztecs.

Margaret ‘Marley’ Van Sicklen is a graduate of the Ecole Chocolat Professional Chocolatier Program and has participated in advanced training courses at the Melissa Coppel Chocolate School in Las Vegas. Marley has been a life-long “home pastry chef” since the age of 7 when she discovered that she could actually bake her own cookies.

As a small business in California, we love to support our local community whenever possible. Buying local is our goal. Not only does it guarantee the freshest ingredients for our products, but it means that we get to invest in another local business.

frequently asked questions

To ensure your packages don’t spend a lonely weekend in a shipping hub we schedule shipments to leave Montecito, CA  Monday – Wednesday. All packages ship via USPS Priority (2-3 day) service to minimize time in transit.  During the summer month we may limit where we ship to protect the quality of our confections. Sorry about any inconvenience.

We love to be part of celebrations large and small. Please call 805-727-3701, or email us at, to discuss custom options to make your event extra special.

We recommend that you consume our confections within 2 weeks. It’s best to store them in a cool, dry place. We do not recommend refrigeration, as condensation can dull the beautiful shiny chocolate.

We are proud of our ingredients which include ethically sourced cacao from B Corps, organic sugar, organic cream & organic milk, European butter and fresh vanilla beans from Madagascar. We include whiskey from a Santa Barbara-based distillery and infuse our cream with locally roasted coffee.  We do not use preservatives, additives, or artificial ingredients.

We use dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, and soy in our kitchen. Please do not share with anyone that has food sensitivities to those ingredients.
